directprint.io adds Microsoft support to its cloud print management solution

The disruptive print management company widens its support as it eyes up a quarter of a million new UK users in 2022

Microsoft Support

directprint.io, the leading print management solution for Google Workspace, has announced additional support for Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. This expansion of services will see directprint.io move away from a Google-centric ecosystem to support over 5,000 printer models via Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 across Chrome, Windows, and Mac operating systems.

The addition of Microsoft support is part of a wider growth strategy for the company which will see it target an additional quarter of a million users under management in the UK in 2022.

Despite being a young, UK-based company, directprint.io has seen considerable success in the US education sector since its inception just four years ago. Today the company supports over half a million subscribers to its secure, serverless SaaS solution across the US, and is eager to bring its winning formula to its home market.

Founder and CEO David Jenkins believes that directprint.io is uniquely positioned to reach its ambitious goals over the next 12 months. “As a Google Technology Partner, we have quickly achieved scale with the US and that’s where the majority of our growth has come from to date. Moving forward, we’re looking to capitalize on the opportunity in the Microsoft space where the cloudification of productivity and office capabilities, including printing, is really gaining traction,” he said. “A lot of the customers that we’re talking to at the moment are pure Microsoft, they’re looking to migrate their on-premise infrastructure to the cloud and in terms of print, we’re part of that equation for them.”

This success is due to directprint.io’s clear positioning as a pure SaaS provider. Jenkins and his team have developed a transparent, scalable single service offering built on a predictable pricing model that has performed extremely well in the education and SMB sectors. The platform is feature-rich, compatible with all leading printer manufacturers and provides a consistent print experience across all devices and platforms. Directprint.io is zero-touch, once installed, no configuration is needed for new devices or end-users; security is built-in, local network printing ensures prints jobs never leave the customer’s network; and it also delivers full, real-time print analytics.

Jenkins continued: “Whilst we do support clients who engage with us directly, our primary route to market is through the channel and we put partner-led opportunities first. We’re looking to build on existing as well as forge new partnerships in the UK.

“We can offer unparalleled levels of support as well as healthy recurring revenue streams, and we’d love to talk to resellers who are keen to seize the Microsoft cloudification opportunity by offering cloud print as a value-add service.”
